Nottingham Rockets have topped off a very successful season with two of the top awards from the East Midlands Volleyball Association Awards Evening. Taking the last award of the evening, Nottingham Rockets were named East Midlands Volleyball Club of the Year. The EMVA committee praised the club for its expansion in members over the season, the success of the newly set-up ladies squad and the work of the junior coaching team, notably Paul Lamb, for the impressive U15 and U16 results at the National Championships.

Thank you to everyone who played, coached and helped out at the club this year for all your hard work!!

Also congratulations to Paul Lamb, who was awarded East Midlands Volleyball Coach of the Year. This is well-deserved recognition for his hard work developing Nottingham Rockets this season but also for his wider junior development work across the East Midlands region.

The evening then concluded with the regional AGM. New for the Regional League next season will be restrictions on NVL players within regional teams. From 2010/2011 only 3 registered NVL players will be allowed on court at any one time. To support our talented junior players, under 18s will be exempt from this rule.
