FAQs

Where do you train?

Most of our sessions take place at Southglade Leisure Centre, Southglade Road, Nottingham, NG5 5GU (map)

We use the Spond app to keep all members informed

How much does it cost to play?

We charge different fees depending on which session you choose to join.

We do our best to keep the prices as low as possible so that we can all enjoy playing volleyball without breaking the bank.

All our coaches, committee members, and session helpers volunteer their time free-of-charge to ensure fees are kept to a minimum.

See here for more details.

Do I need to have a membership?

Initially no! We know that you will want to try out the club and see if it’s right for you before making any membership commitments.

However if you do decide to become a National League or East Midlands league player (W1, W2, M1, M2), then we do ask you to pay a monthly fee which includes all training and match fees.

If you prefer to just train with us non-competitively then we just charge a fee per session, no membership is needed.

Are there team try-outs?

Yes, we hold try-outs for the National and Regional teams at the start of each season (August-September) but will look at players who want to join us during the season too.

When you first join the club, the coaches will advise you on which team is most appropriate for you based on your past volleyball experience and level of play.

Membership to the National or East Midlands regional league teams (W1, W2, M1, M2) is decided by the coaches and is invite-only.

When does the season start?

The indoor volleyball season typically runs from September through to May. We also carry on with sessions during the off season too.

Get in touch with us and we will put you in contact with the relevant coach so you can have a chat.

For players who would like to join the junior or adult recreational, these sessions run throughout the year.

I haven’t played before, can I still come?

Absolutely! The best session for you to come to is the Adult or Junior Recreational sessions.

These are open to anyone who would like to come, no volleyball experience necessary and no commitment expected!
