Internationally Renowned Volleyball coach comes to Rockets

Amazing coup for Nottingham Rockets!!

Henryk Lakomy, one of the most successful coaches from the UK has agreed to coach at Rockets while he is on a sabbatical back in the UK.

Henryk has coached volleyball for more than 30 years. Most of it has been in the top division in England, which included winning the National Cup.

He has also coached in the U.S.A., Italy and Spain and holds an FIVB level 3 coaching certificate. The Spanish and Italian Volleyball Federations awarded Henryk special licences, which allowed him to coach all levels of National and Regional competitions.

He has not only coached club volleyball but also International Volleyball, both at the Junior and Senior level and coached the Great Britain Student Volleyball Team at four Universiades.

Henryk's coaching experience includes:

Head Coach England Junior National Team (women)

Head Coach Great Britain Student National Team (women) at four Universiades.

Head Coach Wales Senior National Team (women)

Head Coach Teams in English National League top division, including winning National Cup twice.

Head Coach University of California, Davis (men)

Head Coach Loughborough University (Men and Women)

Head Coach Cusio Sud Ovest, Seria D (women), Italy

Head Coach A.D.Algar Surmenor, Superliga, Spain.

Other notable achievements is that seven players, he coached in his club teams played for Great Britain at the London Olympics in 2012. Currently, one of his Libero's plays in the Spanish National team.

As a player his career included being captain of the Great Britain Student Team and a member of the English Senior National Team.
